The 19-player squad is comprised of fifteen players, who have represented Canada on the international stage in prior tournaments and are joined by four newcomers to the program.
Stephen Dockerty, General Manager stated, “it is a tremendous accomplishment to be chosen to represent your country in any sport.” Dockerty has previously held various positions with the Junior program. “We are thrilled with the 19 players selected and we know they will wear the Maple Leaf with great pride.”
“We are proud of our nations previous accomplishments, but the teams are getting better every championship and we are eager to take the next step in our process with this talented, motivated and athletic group of players,” added Dockerty.
He continued, “many of the players have provincial, national and international success and have worked hard to earn this moment and we are confident in challenging for the gold medal for the fourth consecutive championship.”
“On behalf of the National Ball Hockey Association of Canada, I would like to congratulate the players named today, along with their leagues, club teams, families, coaches and officials who have helped them along the way,” said Dockerty.
